HELP SAVE THE GARDINER ARMS

Time to Save the Pub for the Tackley community

GA Photo 3.jpg

ABOUT

The Gardiner Arms dates from at least 1788 and has been at the centre of our Tackley community for the last few generations and beyond, firstly through the ownership by Ind Coope/ Greene King and their tenants and currently following the sale to the current owners in 2016. The Gardiner Arms is the last public house remaining in our village.

The current owners have decided to retire from running the pub in June and are required to give the village the first opportunity to purchase it and its entire site under the terms of the ACV (Asset of Community Value) order secured by the Tackley parish council.

This Community Group has been formed to negotiate with the owners of the Gardiner Arms, to purchase the pub for the village, to be run as a community pub.
